The initiation of WeChat payment transactions relies on the binding relationship between the official account, mini program, mobile application (i.e. APPID) and the merchant account (i.e. MCHID). Therefore, after completing the contract, the merchant needs to confirm the binding relationship between the current merchant account and the appid before it can be used.
#### **Scenario 1: Operation guide for binding merchant account and AppID of the same entity for self-service authorization**
Operating Instructions
1. Log in to the merchant platform-Product Center-[Account Association (AppID Binding)](https://pay.weixin.qq.com/index.php/extend/pay_setting/ma) and enter the authorization application page;
2. Fill in the relevant authenticated APPID information, read and sign the "WeChat Payment Merchant Account and APPID Authorization Agreement", click "Confirm" to submit, and initiate an authorization application;
3. After initiating the authorization application, the merchant needs to go to the corresponding platform to confirm the authorization application.

#### You may be concerned about:
1. After a merchant account is associated with other types of accounts, unbinding is not supported for the time being. Each relationship is independent of each other and does not affect each other. If you need to use the current merchant account in multiple scenarios, you need to establish an association relationship separately;
2. AppID account types that can be associated: service accounts certified by WeChat, government or media subscription accounts, mini programs, APPs, and enterprise WeChat;
3. Account association is a two-way confirmation process. When you initiate an association application, it needs to be confirmed by the administrator of the associated account before the binding relationship can be established. If the application is not confirmed within 7 days, it will automatically become invalid and needs to be reinitiated;
4. When the full name of the merchant account is consistent with the APPID certification subject, after initiating the authorization application, APPID can confirm the application on the designated platform (official account, mini program on the public platform); if the subject is inconsistent (restricted qualifications are open), a "WeChat Pay Joint Operation Commitment Letter" needs to be signed, and only after the WeChat Pay business review can the follow-up process be entered. The review cycle is 1-3 working days;
5. If the bound APPID has a bound merchant account, the merchant account that initiates the binding application must have the same rate as the merchant account bound to the APPID. If they are inconsistent, online binding is not supported for the time being;
6. A merchant account can initiate authorization applications for up to 50 APPIDs. If you need to authorize more, please contact WeChat Pay customer service to explain the reason for the application.
